    Master Perfumer

    Sylvie Fischer

Sylvie Fischer grew up surrounded by amber bottles and the quiet hum of a perfumer’s studio. Her mother, a seasoned creator, introduced her to raw materials before Sylvie could read. At twenty she secured an internship at Robertet, where she learned the discipline of natural extraction and the chemistry of accord building. The following year Takasago invited her to join their research lab; there Pierre Bourdon took her under his wing, guiding her through a rigorous year of formulation and critique. Michel Almairac later refined her sense of balance, urging her to explore contrast without losing harmony. Over the past two decades Sylvie has risen to senior perfumer, contributing to more than thirty fragrances across Takasago, IFF and independent projects. Her career reflects a blend of inherited intuition and relentless apprenticeship, positioning her as a trusted voice in contemporary fragrance creation.

    The signature

    How Sylvie composes

Sylvie’s signatures include layered heart structures that evolve with skin chemistry. She often anchors compositions with warm woods—sandalwood, cedar—and enriches them with subtle spices such as pink pepper or cardamom. Floral accents appear as fleeting whispers, typically derived from sustainably sourced absolutes like jasmine or tuberose. She favors natural extracts but is unafraid to integrate synthetics when they add precision. Her blends balance richness and clarity, delivering depth without overwhelming the senses.

    Philosophy

    What drives Sylvie

Sylvie believes that a scent should echo a memory while inviting discovery. She treats each brief as a conversation, listening for the emotional core before selecting a palette. Transparency guides her process; she prefers ingredients whose origins she can trace, allowing the story of a material to inform its placement. Rather than chasing trends, she seeks timeless resonance, letting the chemistry speak and the wearer complete the narrative. This disciplined curiosity fuels her commitment to craft fragrances that feel both personal and universal.
