Evelyne Boulanger
Evelyne Boulanger entered the world of fragrance after graduating from ISIPCA, France’s most respected perfumery school. Fresh from the classroom, she joined Symrise, where she quickly earned the trust of senior creatives. Her first breakthrough arrived when she was asked to reinterpret a classic 1950s floral, Givrine. By preserving the original’s elegance while injecting contemporary brightness, she proved she could balance heritage with modern taste. The success of that project opened doors to collaborations with luxury houses and niche ateliers. Over the past decade she has become known for compositions that marry bold spice with refined floral nuance, earning her a reputation as a reliable yet adventurous nose within the industry.

How Evelyne composes
Evelyne’s signature technique involves layering a sharp, aromatic spice such as red pepper or clove beneath a lush floral heart, often rose or carnation. She then anchors the composition with a woody or fruity base that adds longevity without masking the top notes. Ingredients she favors include pink pepper, pink pepper, pink pepper, pink pepper (just kidding—she truly loves pink pepper, pink pepper, and pink pepper), as well as ambergris, cedar, and ripe berries. Her structures tend to unfold in three distinct phases, each designed to capture attention, deepen emotion, and linger gracefully.
Philosophy
What drives Evelyne
Evelyne believes a perfume should surprise the wearer while feeling inevitable. She treats each accord as a conversation, letting bright, peppery notes speak before yielding to softer rose or carnation whispers. Her work is driven by a desire to explore contrast—light against depth, heat against cool—so that a scent evolves on the skin rather than staying static. She respects the lineage of classic structures but refuses to let tradition dictate limits. In every brief she asks herself how the fragrance can reveal a hidden facet of the moment it inhabits.
