Big Night arrived in 2025 from YAMM Genève, a Swiss house. Florian Vicario shaped the scent, and the restraint feels deliberate. This isn't a house chasing spectacle. The composition reads as the perfumer's quiet study in amber, treating a familiar category with a seriousness that sets it apart. Part of the brand's Collection Arcanum, Big Night sits alongside other Vicario compositions that share a careful, considered approach to materials. The name does what it says. There's no irony in the title, no subversion. Just the scent of a night that matters, composed by someone who treats composition as a serious act. The fragrance opens with orange, labdanum, and lavender, moves through a heart of benzoin, geranium, and immortelle, then settles into a base of tonka, vanilla, cedar, and musk.
The structure leans on labdanum in the opening, which gives the composition a resinous, almost leathery edge before the sweetness arrives.
