The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Tease Glam arrived in 2019 as part of Victoria's Secret's ongoing exploration of the Tease concept. Each iteration of Tease takes a different angle on the same flirtatious premise, and Tease Glam brings its own distinct character to the line. The name itself is the brief. Tease Glam is the moment where glamour leans in, then pulls back just enough to make you lean forward. The note pyramid, meringue, juniper, peony, reflects that specific energy. It's not a safe choice. It's a considered one. The interplay between sweet and green creates a tension that feels intentional, like a conversation where the most interesting things are left unsaid.
The combination of meringue and juniper is the interesting part. Meringue brings the sweetness you'd expect from a VS fragrance: airy, confectionery, with a soft vanillic warmth. But juniper berries are where Tease Glam earns its name. They add a cool, almost camphorated bite that keeps the sweetness from being soft. Peony does the work of making it smell like a flower instead of a cocktail, but it doesn't soften the juniper, it lets it linger in the drydown, adding an aromatic complexity that separates this from a straightforward gourmand. The result is a fragrance that isn't sweet OR green. It's both, at the same time, held in tension.
The evolution
Tease Glam opens on a curious note, the meringue reads first, light and airy, almost whipped, but underneath it the juniper is already there. Not sharp, exactly. Cool. A little bitter. Like the first breath after stepping out of a warm room into cold air. The peony arrives within minutes, softening the top and adding a powdery floral roundness that balances the initial tension. By the time the drydown settles, the composition has shifted into something quieter and more intimate. The sweetness doesn't disappear, it deepens, blending with the woody, slightly earthy base that juniper leaves behind. The projection is above-average, announcing itself with confidence and then settling into a comfortable presence that lingers without overwhelming.
Cultural impact
Tease Glam arrived in 2019 as a new chapter within the Tease franchise. The fragrance offered something different through its unusual sweet-green composition, pairing gourmand meringue with botanical juniper in a way that felt both playful and confident. Its note combination stood apart from more predictable vanilla or fruit-forward profiles, appealing to those who wanted complexity without sacrificing wearability.
