Why it exists.
The beginning
The Good Scent launched Cosmic Jasmine in 2025 as part of its expanding floral portfolio. The name sets the expectation. Cosmic suggests scale, something larger than a single flower. Jasmine is the anchor, but the composition reaches past it, pulling in peach blossom, tuberose, and a sandalwood-cashmere base that gives the white florals somewhere to land. Where other compositions might play it safe with a single dominant flower wrapped in supporting greenery, Cosmic Jasmine layers jasmine over a fleshy peach blossom accord and a creamy tuberose heart, then grounds everything in a dry, woody foundation. The sandalwood and cashmere wood don't compete with the florals; they catch them. The result is a jasmine fragrance that doesn't sit politely in a vase. It moves.
Jasmine-forward compositions can go in many directions, from the indolic, almost ripe handful of fresh blossoms, to the clean, soapy interpretation that smells like laundry detergent. Cosmic Jasmine splits the difference in an interesting way. The evolution
The opening belongs to peach blossom and bergamot, bright and almost fizzy, with the jasmine underneath already warming things up. The bergamot gives the first few minutes a clean, lifted quality, like sunlight catching the rim of a glass, before the fruitier, rounder peach blossom takes over and the jasmine begins to rise through the composition. As the hours pass, the tuberose arrives and takes command, creamy and dense with just enough honeysuckle sweetness to keep the air around you interested. The lavender settles into the background, doing its job without calling attention to itself, cooling the edges of the tuberose just enough to keep the whole composition from feeling too heavy or tropical. The drydown reveals where Cosmic Jasmine shows its depth. Sandalwood and cashmere wood arrive and stay, warming up against the skin as the white florals recede.
