Why it exists.
The beginning
Iridescent Sky arrived in 2020 from Prin Lomros. The fragrance captures a specific hour: high summer, the moment when clouds shift and the sky throws color you didn't expect. It's built around an unusual cast of ingredients that treat citrus as something stranger than the usual bright-and-clean shorthand. Pomelo brings a sweeter, almost floral fruit quality. Metallic shimmer cuts through that sweetness with the cool flash of foil catching light. The citrus notes feel alive, buzzing with a slight tartness rather than sitting still as decoration. There's a powdery softness underneath the fruit, and the whole thing hums with an energy that feels closer to atmosphere than to anything traditionally fresh. The sky above a hot afternoon, stretched into liquid form.
What makes the composition unusual is its refusal to behave like a typical fresh-citrus release. Lomros built Iridescent Sky around an unusual cast: honey pomelo for a sweeter, almost floral citrus note; lemonade accord for the tart snap; metallic notes that recall aluminum or sun-warm steel rather than anything traditionally aromatic. Iris and damask rose anchor the heart with a powdered softness, while smoke and vetiver in the base give the whole thing a strange gravity.
The evolution
The opening minutes are electric. Pomelo and lemonade hit bright, almost sharp, with that metallic thread running underneath like foil catching sunlight. Blueberry and pineapple add a juicy sweetness that stops just short of candy. As the composition develops, the metallic note doesn't fade. It deepens, settling into something warmer and more textured. Iris and damask rose arrive in a soft, powdered wave, and the smoke begins to register, warm and slightly dry, like the air above sun-heated stone. The transition from bright citrus to smoky floral happens gradually but noticeably. Eventually the composition settles into a musky, slightly woody space where vetiver and ambrette hold the structure together. The smoke lingers longest, riding close to skin long after the bright fruit has softened into memory.
