The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Nature's Gifts comes from the 2023 catalog of Siren Song Elixirs, a perfume house that translates fictional worlds into wearable scent. The BG3 Collection found Siren Song Elixirs translating beloved characters into fragrance, and Halsin from Baldur's Gate 3 became the inspiration for this particular composition. The premise: a druid radiating the warmth and greenery of a forest in the sun, dense with growth and life. The scent tries to bottle what it might feel like to stand next to someone whose whole presence is rooted in the living world. On skin, the opening carries a bright, almost mineral brightness, like sunlight catching on wet leaves after rain, before the cooler green notes settle in and give way to something warmer underneath.
What's interesting here is the restraint. A forest scent could easily go loud: sharp pine resin, aggressive citrus, so much green it smells like a cleaning product. Nature's Gifts refuses that shortcut. The composition leans on oakmoss and ivy for the greenery, then pulls the temperature warm with cedar and sandalwood. Sage keeps it herbal without tipping into aromatherapy candle territory. Stone grounds everything. The result is a woodland that feels lived-in, not landscaped. The vines and oakmoss carry the cool, damp register; the woods carry the sun-soaked one.
The evolution
The first few minutes are the greenest this scent gets. Ivy and vine come forward with that cool, dewy quality, the kind of green that hasn't decided what it wants to be yet. Sage threads through, giving the opening a faint herbal hum. Then something shifts. The cedar and sandalwood start pulling warmth upward, and the oakmoss stops feeling like a plant on a windowsill and starts feeling like the floor of a real forest, damp and ancient underneath. Stone keeps the whole thing from going too dark or too sweet, a mineral anchor that makes the woods feel solid underfoot. By the two-hour mark, the green has mostly receded. What's left is a warm, quiet sandalwood and cedar blend with the ghost of sage still in it. This is a skin scent by then, intimate and close, the kind of woodsmell that shows up on your sleeve the next morning when you put a sweater on.
Cultural impact
Nature's Gifts lives in the overlapping world of indie perfumery and fandom scent, where a character like Halsin from Baldur's Gate 3 becomes a brief for an entire composition. The result is a fragrance that translates a specific fictional figure into scent, using oakmoss and ivy for the green register, cedar and sandalwood for warmth, sage for the herbal thread, and stone for grounding. On skin, the fragrance reads as a sunlit woodland rather than a generic green, avoiding the sharp, aggressive greenery that dominates many commercial forest scents.
