The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Siren Song Elixirs has built its catalog on one idea: what if you could wear the worlds you love? Drink Me takes that question straight into Lewis Carroll's imagination. The 2018 release pulls from 'Alice in Wonderland', specifically that iconic bottle, unmarked except for a word of warning. Poison, the label says. But it smells delicious. The perfumer translated that contradiction into a fragrance: something that looks forbidden, smells irresistible, and invites you to shrink down into its world anyway. That's the Drink Me experience, edible, warm, and impossible to resist.
The note structure here is unusually direct. Cherry tart doesn't hint at fruit, it announces it, bright and jammy against warm cream. The ice cream note adds a cold, creamy layer that most gourmand fragrances skip entirely, giving the opening a temperature contrast that feels freshly plated rather than synthetic. Marshmallow and vanilla icing then layer on warmth until the whole composition reads like a bakery counter at golden hour, the kind of smell that follows you through a room and makes people look twice.
The evolution
The opening arrives like a cherry tart right from the oven, that bright, jammy sweetness with just enough tartness to feel real. The cream arrives almost immediately, smoothing everything out into something softer and more inviting. Then the marshmallow takes over, coating everything in a sweet, airy warmth that lingers for hours. The vanilla and cake notes emerge in the drydown, adding body and a slight powdery softness that keeps the sweetness from overwhelming. On most skin types, this one holds for four to six hours, moderate sillage means it stays close, intimate, like a secret you keep sharing.
Cultural impact
Drink Me occupies a specific corner of the indie fragrance world: the intersection of literary nostalgia and pure gourmand pleasure. As part of the Alice in Wonderland collection, it draws from a cultural touchstone that generations have loved, translating Carroll's whimsy into something you can actually wear. The response from fans has been consistent, people who want to smell like their favorite story, done with care and without irony.
