Leslie Smith launched Besos Pan Dulce in 2023 as part of Siren Song Elixirs' Bakery & Sweets collection. The name is direct. Besos means kisses in Spanish, but here it borrows from pan dulce, the Mexican sweet bread tradition. The scent imagines two of those pastel-glazed rolls pressed together with a slick of raspberry jam between them, topped with finely grated pink coconut sugar. Yo-yos, some folks call them. Leslie took that edible geometry and translated it into a wearable confection. No allegory. No subtext. Just the smell of bread, jam, and warm sugar.
What makes the composition work is its commitment to a single idea. The note pyramid stays tight: butter, raspberry, coconut, pan dulce, vanilla. Nothing ornamental.
