Why it exists.
The beginning
Together arrived in 2025 from RNDL, and the brief behind it was direct: a composition built on togetherness, on the warmth of shared moments. Julie Lerendu signed on to translate that concept into scent, and the result is less like a fragrance launch and more like an invitation. The name says it. The composition follows through. Citrus at the threshold, spice at the center, something tactile waiting underneath. Bergamot and mandarin lift the opening with a brief, clean brightness, the kind of clarity that feels like sunlight through a window, before giving way to something denser and more nourishing. Lerendu's approach reads architectural rather than decorative, every note placed with purpose, every transition considered.
What makes Together structurally interesting is the heart. Bourbon vanilla, cumin, nutmeg, pimento, and praline stack into a dense, food-adjacent warmth, but it's the cumin doing the real work. Cumin is a note that flattens compositions when overused, turns everything into a one-note kitchen. Here it's tethered to praline and pimento, which give it sweetness and structure. The vanilla grounds it further, and by the time the base arrives, that sharp cumin edge has folded into something almost edible.
The evolution
Together opens with bergamot and mandarin, bright and brief, the citrus lasting just long enough to set expectations before the heart takes over. Then comes the shift: bourbon vanilla rises first, sweet and slightly boozy, joined almost immediately by cumin, nutmeg, and pimento. The praline weaves through, adding a toasted-nut richness that keeps the spice from going sharp. The suede hasn't appeared yet but you can feel it coming, a soft, tactile undertone beneath the sweetness. Over time the heart begins to thin. Moss, musk, and patchouli settle in, the suede finally surfacing, and the whole composition turns quieter, warmer, closer to skin. The vanilla and spice don't disappear, they just move to the back seat. Eventually what's left is suede, musk, and a whisper of praline, intimate, dry, and very much still there.
Cultural impact
Together reads as a confident entry into the spiced gourmand territory that has gained traction across contemporary fragrance. Where many compositions reach for oud or tobacco to carry warmth, RNDL reaches for cumin and praline, giving it a slightly more food-driven, less smoky character. The result is something that feels nourishing rather than imposing, a scent that pulls you in rather than pushing outward. The unisex positioning here isn't decorative. It's structural, the vanilla and suede pulling both ways, the spice reading as aromatic rather than masculine, the praline carrying sweetness without tipping into overtly feminine territory.
