The brief reads almost astronomical: warm amber warmth against cool dark sky, spice and sweetness with a faint metallic sheen at the edges. What Nebular actually bottled is a spicy-sweet composition that leans gourmand without surrendering its structure. Rum and sesame open the door, cinnamon and honey move through the middle, and a base of tobacco, caramel, and musks anchors everything in leather warmth that feels less dessert and more dim lounge. The rum brings a syrupy richness that reads warm and faintly fermented, like the bottom of a tumbler that's been sitting near a candle.
The unusual pairing here is sesame. Not a note you expect to find standing next to rum, cinnamon, and caramel, and that's exactly the point. Sesame brings a dry, almost nutty-roasted quality that keeps the sweeter notes from sliding into pure confection. Javanol, a modern synthetic sandalwood molecule, does similar work in the base, giving the woody sweetness a cleaner, more transparent edge.
