Why it exists.
The beginning
Golden Pear arrived in 2022 as part of Mine. Perfumery's Vibes of Mine / Hidden Fruits collection. The lineup groups fragrances that take fruit as their starting point and build compositions around it, each one wearing a different mood. Golden Pear sits alongside Perky Pomegranate, Sakura Sake, and Pineapple Pleasures in that catalog, four pieces that share a common thread without repeating each other. The fragrance itself leans into the ripe, golden side of pear, and the accord carries that warmth into a clean, wearable composition that reads more like sunlight than syrup.
What's interesting here is the aldehyde choice. Golden Pear leans into the chemistry rather than relying solely on natural pear accords, letting aldehydes lift the citrus and pear into something almost effervescent. The result has a bright, airy lift that keeps the fruit from collapsing into sweetness. Then there's the spun sugar in the base, which keeps the sweetness anchored. Paired with white musk and sea salt, the spun sugar gains weight and stays present instead of dissolving into the air.
