The brief seems to have called for depth and contrast, a composition willing to lean into shadow rather than chase brightness. Ermenidis, working within the house's structured approach to perfumery, built the scent around a green apple and pink pepper opening that snaps sharp and bright before settling into its herbal core. French lavender and artemisia anchor the center, their bitter-green facets doing the heavy lifting while the brighter top notes fade.
What makes Lovers Noir worth attention is the chocolate note at its heart. Cocoa absolute alongside French lavender is a pairing that bends expectation, letting the lavender's herbal sharpness keep the chocolate from tipping into anything gourmand.
