Why it exists.

Super Nova did not arrive from market research. It arrived from a white dwarf in a Type Ia supernova, where thermonuclear explosions scatter gold, silver, iron, and stone across the void. Luca Gritti took that image literally, the chaos-to-order of stellar death, and asked what it would smell like to be born from that fire. The answer is mineral notes struck like flint, ozone filling the vacuum, and metallic warmth settling like the residue of something ancient and impossibly far away. Gritti has never followed convention, and Super Nova is proof of that instinct translated into liquid form.
Artemisia and bell pepper anchor the opening, giving it a strange green-herbal character that is rarely found in this space. Gunpowder and oud form the heart's tension, a pairing that is dark, resinous, and charged. Cashmeran and ambergris in the drydown complete the arc from stellar chaos to structured warmth, the latter lending a marine-animalic quality that feels both ancient and otherworldly. Gritti's Venetian roots show in the composition's sense of drama and restraint, the same tension that defines the city's canals, its crumbling palazzos, its refusal to be ordinary.
