The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Nearly Noon was born from a collaboration with Sniff with Steph, whose PerfumeTok audience knew exactly what they wanted from a scent. The vision was clear from the start: a fragrance built around the feeling of that liminal moment just before noon, when the day has warmed but has not yet demanded anything. DefineMe built the nearly collection on the idea that scent shapes emotional experience, and Nearly Noon is the most literal interpretation of that philosophy. Natural, vegan, and cruelty-free formulations mean the warmth comes from real materials, not synthetic shortcuts.
Nearly Noon reflects DefineMe's commitment to fragrance as emotional support rather than mere scent. Each note was chosen for its contribution to that pre-noon feeling: the spices create energy, the heart notes create comfort, and the base creates persistence. The coconut and rice pudding combination is unusual precisely because it captures something that most fragrances miss, that specific comfort of a warm kitchen or a favorite blanket. The vanilla and sandalwood ensure the warmth stays with you, not as performance but as genuine presence.
The evolution
The opening of Nearly Noon sets the tone immediately: cardamom provides bright spice, cream softens the edges, and fig nectar adds a honeyed sweetness that feels like the first hint of warmth after a cold morning. As the fragrance develops, roasted coconut and rice pudding take over, shifting the character from bright to genuinely comforting. Saffron threads through this heart layer, adding a subtle resinous spice that elevates the edible notes beyond simple sweetness. The drydown of amberwood, sandalwood, and vanilla transforms the warmth into something that lingers close to the skin for hours, completing the arc from morning energy to afternoon comfort.
Cultural impact
Nearly Noon sits in a quieter space, a choice for someone who wants to feel held rather than announced. The warm, comforting territory of the Nearly Collection expands into something that grounds rather than demands attention. This fragrance is part of a broader appeal to people seeking intentional self-care through scent. Notes of cardamom, fig nectar, rice pudding, saffron, sandalwood, and vanilla create a composition that feels less like perfume and more like a memory of comfort. Warmth that lingers after you leave the room. Fragrance that makes you feel grounded rather than noticed.
