The evolution

A brief citrus opening gives way as the caramel and fleur de sel take over. That's the first transition. The second arrives when the florals arrive quietly and the vanilla begins its slow ascent. The jasmine and lily of the valley have blended into the vanilla so completely that they stop being distinct. What you're left with is a sweet floral warmth that feels like it came from the skin itself. The drydown settles into musk and sandalwood. Not a dramatic shift. A gradual softening. The tonka bean adds a faint powdery edge that keeps things from going flat. Throughout the wear, the sillage stays close.
