Each composition is mixed in small batches, each one an argument for what perfume can be when nobody's checking the formula. Covert reads as a composed statement, a clove-and-bergamot composition built around resinous, spiced warmth that leans classic without tipping into nostalgia. The materials carry the weight here: a confident dose of spice up top, a resinous architecture in the middle, and a base that lets the woods and musks do their quiet work. What's interesting is how restrained it feels, how much gets said through what's left unsaid.
What makes Covert structurally interesting is the balance between the bright citrus opening and the dense resinous architecture underneath.
