Citric Fresh arrived in 2024 from Casaniche, a Chilean house with a clear point of view on what a fragrance should do. The brief here reads simple on paper: a citrus composition built around Madagascan lemon, sharpened by ginger, grounded in oakmoss and woody notes. Maximiliano Cifuentes, the nose behind the release, builds compositions that read less like luxury and more like something personal and deliberate. The juice carries its character without ornament, letting the raw materials carry the conversation. This one belongs to the Color Art collection, a line where the palette is the point and the juice wears its hue without apology. There's a confidence in the formula, a sense that every ingredient earned its place through tasting and adjustment rather than trend-chasing.
What makes the formula interesting isn't the lemon itself, plenty of fragrances lead with citrus. It's the structural tension underneath. Ambroxan brings a mineral, almost saline backbone that keeps the lemon from collapsing into shower-gel territory. Oakmoss adds the shadow.
