The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Attraction line asks what happens when desire becomes a formula. Not a single moment, the whole arc. From the first signal to the last trace. Laurent Le Guernec built Attraction Sensation to move through all five senses: the bright opening that catches attention, the floral heart that deepens the pull, the leather base that finally connects. It's a scent that stages attraction deliberately, step by step, from the opening chord to the final note that lingers on skin long after the room has changed.
The plum-ginger opening is a calculated move. Fruitiness softened by that clean, almost medicinal warmth that ginger brings, not floral, not citrus, something sharper. The white florals arrive next, jasmine and freesia providing that elegant transition between the bright opening and the darker base. Black iris adds an unexpected twist, root-like and slightly powdery, it gives the heart a complexity that prevents it from being just another floral heart. The leather base is where things get interesting. Cashmere Wood and Amber Xtreme create a warmth that feels skin-like without being animalic. The leather anchors everything, but it doesn't overwhelm.
The evolution
The opening announces itself immediately, plum's dark sweetness paired with ginger's clean heat, tangerine adding a bright citrus lift that makes the whole thing feel like it's already in motion. That fruity-spicy punch doesn't wait. Within the first hour, the florals start to assert themselves. Jasmine and freesia arrive quietly, but they arrive with intention. The black iris adds a twist, slightly powdery, root-like, giving the heart a complexity that keeps it from being just another white floral. The drydown is where Attraction Sensation becomes distinctly itself. The leather finally surfaces, skin-close and warm, wrapped in cashmere wood and amber xtreme. This is the part that stays. Not a projection, a presence. The kind that lingers on fabric, on skin, in the room after you've left. Six to eight hours of wear means it doesn't need reapplying. The drydown shifts throughout the day, revealing different facets as the initial brightness fades and the leather takes over.
Cultural impact
Attraction Sensation occupies a specific space, fruity-floral with leather backbone. The combination sets it apart from typical sweet florals. Avon designed this to appeal broadly while offering something distinctive. The leather base gives it longevity and character without making it niche or intimidating. For wearers who want a fruity-floral that doesn't smell like everyone else, this fills a gap.
