Why it exists.
The beginning
Helios entered the Arcana Craves catalogue in 2015, part of the expanding roster of compositions it carried. The line operated as a sub-label of Arcana Wildcraft, the indie house known for its love of gourmand and atmospheric blends, and earned a reputation for memorable naming: a familiar object or craving, a verb, and a sensory destination. Strawberries Crave Helios names its target plainly. Helios, the Greek sun god. The fruit doesn't crave sweetness. It craves the light. The name itself does half the work, telling you exactly what the bottle holds: strawberries reaching toward something bright and warm, pulled out of the candy aisle and into open air.
The gamble here is restraint. Strawberry and citrus are some of the easiest notes to push toward cloying, synthetic, or fruit-loop territory. The composition holds its nerve by leaning on white amber as the structural anchor instead of layering more sugar on top. Lime juice and lemonade provide acid. Blackcurrant adds a darker fruit shadow. The rose jam sneaks in at the edges with a floral warmth that keeps the whole thing from reading as a smoothie.
The evolution
The opening is almost violently bright. Lime juice and lemonade hit the skin cold and sharp, with strawberry jam pressing in underneath like something bubbling on a stovetop. Blackcurrant adds a dark berry edge that keeps the sweetness from feeling like a dessert course. As the citrus starts to recede, the white amber takes over, pulling the strawberry into something warmer and less aggressive. The rose jam and jammy fruit settle into a soft, cooked-fruit heart that smells like compote left to cool on a windowsill. The composition eventually quiets into a golden, amber-skin drydown, warm and faintly fruity. The strawberry never fully disappears. It just stops shouting. There's a noticeable shift from the bright, acidic lift of the opening to the mellow, honeyed warmth of the later stages, and the transition feels natural rather than abrupt, each phase leading gently into the next.

Strawberries Crave Helios by Arcana Craves leans into the gourmand-fruity corner of indie perfumery with the cheerful confidence of a summer lemonade stand.
