The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Arcana Craves built its catalog on a simple formula: a verb, a subject, a destination. Honey Craves Coffee Shops follows the pattern exactly. The subject is honey, thick, raw, unabashed. The destination is a specific place, not just an aesthetic: the warm noise of a busy coffee shop on a cold morning, the condensation on windows, the table you've claimed for three hours with nothing but a refillable cup. The fragrance launched in 2020 as part of the Daydream collection, joining the house's ongoing project of translating desire into scent.
Honey Craves Coffee Shops emerged in 2020 as part of Arcana Craves' Daydream collection, designed to capture the feeling of lingering in a favorite cafe. The composition aimed to bottle that specific comfort of honey sweetness blending with roasted coffee warmth, creating an intimate atmosphere rather than a statement scent.
The evolution
The fragrance opens with rich honey immediately taking center stage, its animalic depth weaving with warm coffee notes. As it develops, lactonic milk and vanilla emerge, softening the sweetness into something creamier. The drydown settles into a warm biscuit character that clings close to the skin for hours, lingering with subtle sweetness.
Cultural impact
Arcana Craves never chased mainstream recognition. The house built its following through small-batch releases and word-of-mouth among indie collectors, and Honey Craves Coffee Shops fits that trajectory perfectly, discontinued within a few years of its 2020 debut, now harder to find, which only sharpens the appeal for the kitchen-witch counter-collectors who were paying attention.
