Marshmallows Kick! arrived in 2019 as part of the Marshmallows Attack! collection, a series that played in the comfort-food corner of the fragrance shelf. The marshmallow note comes through gooey and golden, like something just pulled from a flame, but there's a sharp little jolt underneath that keeps the sweetness honest. The composition layers toasted sugar with something rougher around the edges, the kind of confection you remember from childhood rendered with a bit more crackle. Arcana Craves offered a catalog built on gourmand territory, and this one sits squarely in that lane with a twist that keeps it from collapsing into pure sugar. The whole thing reads like a campfire scene where someone turned up the dial past comfortable and kept it there.
Bee pollen does unusual work in this composition, adding a buzzing, almost feral undertone to the sweetness.
