The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Swar Venin arrived in 2025 from Arabiyat Prestige, composed by Julia Rodriguez. Raspberry, blackcurrant, and cherry open the composition in a bright, tart rush that catches attention immediately. The top notes are fruity and lively, but the fragrance does not stay there. Incense and cedar arrive to do the real work, bringing warmth and smoke while a base of vanilla, ambergris, and musk anchors everything and gives the scent somewhere to settle into the skin.
The composition follows a structure that rewards patience. Fruity openings are expected territory in modern perfumery, but the way Swar Venin transitions from bright berry to smoky incense is what sets it apart. Turkish rose does not announce itself. It threads through the cedar and smoke, softening without diluting, adding a quiet floral dimension that keeps the mid-section from feeling one-dimensional. The ambergris in the base plays a supporting role alongside vanilla and musk, adding depth and roundness to the drydown.
The evolution
The first minutes are all fruit, cherry dominant, raspberry giving it body, blackcurrant providing just enough tart to keep things interesting. Then the incense arrives, not loud, more like a whisper at the edge of the room. Cedar follows, warm and dry. The rose is the quietest of the three, present but never pushing. As time passes, the fruity brightness recedes but does not disappear, it settles underneath now, supporting the smoke and wood rather than competing with them. The drydown is vanilla and musk, close to the skin, warm and intimate.
Cultural impact
Swar Venin stands apart from conventional fruity-florals with its incense and cedar mid-section. The composition threads a quiet floral element through smoke and wood, creating a structure that feels both modern and grounded. Fruity enough to feel approachable, with enough mid-depth to reward the wearer who looks beyond the opening.
