Omani Red Frankincense
Sourced from the arid cliffs of Oman's Dhofar region, this resin from Boswellia sacra trees carries a heritage of 6,000 years. Known as 'luban' locally, it represents the pinnacle of frankincense quality worldwide.

Harvesters make precise cuts in tree bark during the dry season, collecting resin by hand. Each tree produces for up to 80 years.
Origin
Oman
Oman has been the heartland of frankincense production since at least 1600 BC. Ancient Egyptian records document frankincense from the Arabian coast, used in temple rituals and royal burials. The resin traveled the Incense Route, crossing the Arabian Desert to Mediterranean markets.
Dhofar's strategic position along trade routes made it a crossroads of civilizations. Greek geographer Ptolemy documented the region's frankincense in the second century AD. Local culture continues to burn frankincense in homes and mosques, a daily practice rooted in centuries of tradition. For Omani people, frankincense signifies hospitality and respect, offered to guests as a gesture of welcome.
