Why it exists.
The beginning
Zarko Ahlmann Pavlov founded ZARKOPERFUME around a clear thesis: fragrance could be reduced to a single molecule and still feel alive. Supercharged Molécule arrived as the concentrated extension of that experiment, a follow-up to the original Molécule 234.38, which had already put pure ISO-E-Super on the map for collectors drawn to its strange, intimate power. Supercharged pushed further into that territory. The name itself signals the intent: more of the molecule, more of what makes it magnetic, dialled past the usual restraint. It is, in essence, the same idea taken to its logical extreme, a study in amplification rather than reinvention.
ISO-E-Super is one of perfumery's most studied aroma-chemicals, prized for its cedar-wood softness and its uncanny ability to amplify whatever sits near it. The construction of Supercharged Molécule leans entirely on that single molecule. There are no auxiliary notes listed in the composition, just ISO-E-Super itself, presented at a concentration that registers as unusually potent. The result is a fragrance that functions less like a composition and more like a raw ingredient made wearable.
The evolution
On skin, the opening is almost shy. ISO-E-Super has a way of hovering at the edge of perception, woody and smooth, barely announcing itself. It sits close to the skin, quiet, restrained, easy to miss if you are not paying attention. Then something shifts. As the fragrance warms against the body, the scent seems to bloom outward, catching on body heat and releasing a fuller, almost resinous warmth. The drydown is where Supercharged earns its name. The molecule reveals a dense, persistent character, settling into a long, slow fade that keeps it present without ever shouting. There is no clear base note because there is no base note, just ISO-E-Super in its extended arc, gradually drawing closer to the wearer over time. What begins as a whisper becomes an aura, then a memory, then a trace.
Cultural impact
Supercharged Molécule occupies a distinctive position within the niche fragrance landscape, a release built entirely around ISO-E-Super and the singular effect that molecule produces on skin. The original Molécule 234.38 had already introduced collectors to the concept of wearing a single aroma-chemical as a complete fragrance, and Supercharged took that idea further, concentrating the experience into a denser, more persistent interpretation. For collectors who already owned the original, it was the next logical step in the series, an escalation rather than a departure.
