The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Boho Chic is Vivienne Sabo's answer to the free spirit, the woman who carries rose and sea salt in the same breath. The brand built its identity around a fictional character rooted in European fashion culture, a certain timeless French sensibility that romanticizes independence and self-expression. Boho Chic captures that energy: the idea that elegance doesn't have to mean constraint.
The composition centers on an unlikely pairing, sea water and milk. Marine notes bring openness, breeze, the exhaling sound of waves. Lactonic notes bring warmth, cream, the memory of warm skin. These two shouldn't belong together. That's exactly the point. The bohemian spirit is about contradictions: freedom and femininity, ease and depth, the salty sea and the softest flower.
The evolution
The opening is bright and airy, sea water, citruses, a crisp apple note that lifts everything. As the top notes begin to recede, the citruses soften and the heart begins to emerge. Camellia and rose arrive together, powdery and warm, with a woody foundation that keeps the florals grounded. The transition is smooth but noticeable, you feel the shift from open air to something closer, more intimate. The drydown is where the milk reveals itself, blending with amber and musk into something soft and skin-like. It stays close to the skin, never demanding attention yet present throughout wear without ever overstaying its welcome.
Cultural impact
The marine-floral-lactonic combination offers something distinct from the standard aquatic or fresh floral. It feels breezy and romantic, with a bohemian streak that gives it character beyond its category. Spring and summer provide the natural setting, the composition bright and open in warmer months. The fragrance invites you to discover a different side of accessible scent.
