The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Total Serve launched in 2026 as part of Touchland's Performance Body Spray line. The name borrows directly from tennis vocabulary, and the scent follows suit. Amalfi lemon and freshly cut grass open like the first minutes on a sunlit court, bright and uncomplicated. That opening carries an uncomplicated clarity, the kind of citrus-and-green pairing that feels immediate rather than composed. The Amalfi lemon arrives with a clean snap, aromatic rather than pulpy, and the grass accord underneath offers a chlorophyll brightness that keeps the whole thing lifted. There's an almost cinematic quality to how these top notes register, less like a constructed perfume and more like a place.
The tennis ball accord is the boldest choice here. Grass and oak wood ground the composition in something natural and rooted, while the Amalfi lemon keeps it vivid rather than heavy. Lily of the Valley threads a green floral through the middle that softens the sportiness just enough. The musk base is clean and airy, not heavy or indolic. Each note in the structure plays a specific role in keeping the composition balanced.
The evolution
The first ten minutes are all Amalfi lemon and green grass, sharp and almost cheerful. There's a brief window where the Lily of the Valley pushes through, adding a dewy sweetness that reads more like morning air than a flower bed. Then the tennis ball accord does something unexpected: it softens rather than sharpens, settling into a warmth that feels distinctly its own. As the hours pass, the oak wood takes over, dry and slightly toasted, with the musk underneath keeping everything close to skin. What surprises is how cleanly it exits. No syrupy residue, no clinging sweetness. The drydown leaves behind a faint woody musk, the kind of trace that smells like it came from your skin rather than a bottle. The transition from top notes to base happens gradually, almost imperceptibly at first.
Cultural impact
The tennis ball accord is the tell: this is a brand willing to be playful, even a little weird, if it means the scent actually means something. The choice to feature a tennis ball note in a body spray signals a willingness to take risks that most brands in the category avoid. Where conventional body sprays rely on safe, familiar accords, Total Serve commits fully to its tennis-inspired concept, building an entire composition around a single unexpected idea. The Amalfi lemon, grass, and oak wood all serve this central concept, each reinforcing the outdoor, athletic atmosphere that the tennis ball accord establishes.
