The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The Heaven Of Fruity Sweetness arrived in 2024 as part of The Dua Brand's DUA DESIGNER LINE, an original blend crafted by Mahsam Raza. The fragrance moves into gourmand territory from the first spray, opening with a vivid burst of pear, raspberry, peach, and coconut that reads almost edible on skin. That opening quartet sets the tone for what follows: a composition that treats fruity sweetness as architecture rather than afterthought. The pear carries a crisp, juicy snap, while the raspberry adds a slightly tart berry facet that keeps the sweetness from turning cloying. Peach rounds out the fruit accord with its soft, velvety flesh, and coconut drifts beneath everything like a creamy undertone, lending the opening a milky, sun-warmed warmth.
At the heart of the composition sits a layered floral arrangement working alongside a dense gourmand core. Pear and raspberry appear again here, but they take on a different character once the florals enter the picture, shifting from bright fruit to something more candied. Davana brings a wine-like, slightly boozy edge that adds complexity, while frangipani contributes a tropical, creamy floral facet that bridges the fruit and the gourmand layers seamlessly.
The evolution
The opening unfolds as a fruit-driven overture, with pear leading the charge and raspberry answering with its tart-sweet brightness. Peach softens the edges of that initial burst, lending a velvety roundness that keeps the fruit accord from feeling sharp or aggressive. Coconut threads underneath from the start, a whispered second layer that adds creaminess and warmth without ever dominating. As the fragrance settles into its heart, the florals begin to surface: rose and jasmine push through the fruit with a soft, petal-like presence, while davana and frangipani add exotic, creamy dimension. The marshmallow starts to thicken the whole structure at this stage, wrapping the florals in a plush, sugary softness that feels almost confectionary.
Cultural impact
The Heaven Of Fruity Sweetness sits comfortably within the fruity gourmand category that has drawn significant attention in contemporary fragrance. It wears like a fragrance you'd expect to encounter at a beauty counter, yet the ingredient list reveals a denser composition than that initial impression suggests: seventeen notes distributed across top, middle, and base layers, with patchouli and sandalwood doing real structural work beneath the sweetness.
