The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Peach Majesty arrived in 2026 from The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression collection, and the name does most of the talking before you even open the bottle. Mahsam Raza composed it as a fruity-woody statement, built around white peach and rum at the entrance, rose and ambrette seed at the center, and papyrus with cedarwood anchoring the base. It is officially a Woody Floral Musk, but that label undersells what the composition actually does on skin. The opening hits with the soft fuzz of white peach flesh, bright but never candied, wrapped in the lazy warmth of rum that suggests a slow afternoon rather than a cocktail hour.
What makes the structure interesting is the placement of ambrette seed in the heart of the composition. Here, ambrette does the heavy lifting in the middle register, lending a warm, slightly earthy muskiness that makes the rose feel grounded and almost intimate, the way rose can smell when it's been warmed by body heat rather than displayed in a vase. The papyrus in the base is the second quiet move worth paying attention to.
The evolution
The opening minutes belong to the rum and peach together, as if you'd poured a measure over sliced fruit on a marble counter. The peach reads as white-fleshed and luminous, never jammy or cooked down, and the rum is more about warmth than sweetness, a boozy haze rather than a cocktail. Rose enters as the composition settles, but it arrives sideways, filtered through ambrette's musky softness, so it reads more like skin than like a florist's window. As the wear continues, the fruit gradually recedes and cedarwood starts to take over, though papyrus keeps it from becoming a typical woody base. The papyrus gives the drydown a distinctive grain, almost paper-like, which means Peach Majesty never fully surrenders to sweetness even in its later stages.
Cultural impact
Peach Majesty sits in The Dua Brand's Inspired Expression collection, a grouping within the house's broader catalog. The fragrance reads as a deliberate exercise in working with fruit without letting fruit dominate, holding real presence on skin while the woody and musky elements keep the composition from drifting into simple sweetness. It appeals to wearers who want fruit in their fragrance but not their fruit behaving like dessert, and the papyrus-cedar base gives the peach something to push against rather than a bed of vanilla to sink into.
