The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Intensely Passionate arrived in 2025 from the desk of Mahsam Raza. The name does exactly what it says. There's nothing coy here, no puzzle to decode, no conceptual narrative about a place or a person. Just a mood: charged, warm, unmistakable. A perfume that names its intention outright, then commits to it without apology or evasion. Raza constructed the composition around a bold, romantic floral architecture. Three notes, each carrying its own weight without leaning on the others for cover. Pear for the opening that catches light, not weight. Jasmine for the texture of skin after dark. Vanilla for the finish that stays past the moment it should have left. The result reads almost like a greatest hits version of passionate florals, distilled to its essential cast.
Three notes is a deliberate structure. Pear, jasmine, and vanilla occupy completely different positions on the olfactory spectrum, and the composition uses that distance to its advantage. The pear carries a bright, almost aqueous quality that reads as cool and immediate. The jasmine brings a creamy, indolic warmth that settles closer to the body. The vanilla provides a soft, resinous base that holds everything together without dominating the blend. Because these notes don't fight for the same space, the fragrance moves through its phases with an easy, natural rhythm.
The evolution
The pear arrives first. Cold, almost watery, with that crisp green edge that quality pear notes often carry, but it doesn't shout. It has a clean, almost mineral brightness that registers as fruit without mimicking fruit too literally. As it softens, the green notes go golden, and jasmine begins to surface underneath. The transition happens without any obvious seam, one note receding as the other advances. When the jasmine takes over, it does so with a cleaner character than many white florals manage. Creamy and warm, it sits close to the skin and picks up body heat, becoming more about presence than projection. There's a softness here that reads as petals rather than as anything indolic or overwhelming. The pear doesn't disappear entirely.
Cultural impact
Intensely Passionate works on its own terms, as a standalone floral vanilla that doesn't try to be anything more than what it is. The extrait de parfum concentration gives it noticeable weight and staying power, qualities that distinguish it from lighter formulations in the same category. It wears close to the skin for the first hour, then settles into a soft, persistent warmth that lasts through the day without becoming heavy or cloying. The composition's strength lies in its balance. The pear and jasmine together create a creamy-sweet opening that feels modern without leaning into trends.
