The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Eid Al Adha '25 was crafted by The Dua Brand as a DUA Original blend, a composition created to commemorate the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The brand set out to bottle the warmth, joy, and sweet indulgence that defines the holiday, the kind of moment when family fills every room and the air itself feels rich. The result is an amber floral oud that leans into the luxurious side of the celebration. This is The Dua Brand doing what the house does best: building a scent that feels opulent without requiring an opulent budget. The composition wears its occasion proudly, offering a fragrant tribute to togetherness through the language of perfumery.
The composition makes a strong statement right from the opening: 30-year aged Madagascar vanilla tincture leads the way, setting a warm and resinous tone before anything else has a chance to register. That decision reshapes everything that follows, because every subsequent note arrives through that vanilla filter. The Taif rose and Bulgarian rose in the heart come across as warm and almost edible, a jammy sweetness that feels more like a dessert than a traditional floral pairing.
The evolution
In the opening phase, the Madagascar vanilla commands attention, sweet and resinous, carrying an almost boozy warmth that announces itself without apology. The rose and oud arrive together in the heart, and for a while the fragrance reads as a deep, almost jammy floral, Taif rose's honeyed facets mixing with the rich warmth of Cambodian oud. Tobacco absolute threads through the middle, adding a dry, slightly sweet herbaceousness that keeps the sweetness honest and prevents the composition from becoming cloying. As the fragrance develops, the base begins to settle in: smoked woods emerge first, then leather surfaces with a worn-in softness, followed by creamy sandalwood and a dark musk that stays close to skin. The vanilla never fully leaves, it just recedes into the background, making everything else feel a little warmer.
Cultural impact
Eid Al Adha carries deep meaning across Muslim communities worldwide, marking a moment of devotion, family gathering, and shared celebration. The holiday centers on themes of sacrifice, gratitude, and community, bringing families and friends together for prayers, festive meals, and the exchange of gifts. Fragrance has long been intertwined with acts of devotion and celebration, with many choosing scents that mark special occasions and create lasting memories. A vanilla-forward composition fits naturally into this context, offering warmth that complements the gatherings, prayers, and festive meals that define the holiday.
