The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Dreamscape arrived in 2025 as part of Sapphire Studios' Signature Collection, a creative house that treats scent and visual art as the same conversation. The fragrance was composed to capture a specific mood: the suspended, weightless sensation of standing inside a dream, where everything feels half-familiar and quietly strange. Berry and osmanthus open at the top, glossy and slightly candied, with that apricot-peach softness osmanthus is known for curling around the fruit. Then comes a lush white-floral heart built from freesia, jasmine, and rose, three flowers that together create a creamy, almost milky texture without ever feeling heavy. The base is where Dreamscape earns its name.
What makes the composition work is the tension between its fruity sweetness and its restraint. Berries and osmanthus together can easily tip into candy or jam, but here they're tempered by the freesia-jasmine-rose heart, which keeps the sweetness floral and a little cool. The osmanthus in particular does heavy lifting, bringing its characteristic apricot-skin warmth without the leathery edge it sometimes carries in heavier compositions. The base then does what a good base should: it doesn't announce itself, it just makes everything before it feel softer, warmer, more yours. Amber and vanilla add that lactonic, almost skin-like quality, while white musk smooths the edges.
The evolution
The first hour is all berries, sweet, slightly syrupy, with osmanthus threading through like sunlight through gauze. There's a fruity candied quality at the very top that some wearers describe as berry syrup, and it reads bright without being sharp. Within the first 30 to 60 minutes, the berries step back and the florals take over. Rose arrives first, full and rounded, then jasmine, soft and non-indolic, adding a creamy texture rather than any animalic edge. Freesia lifts the whole heart with a cool, slightly green-floral air. This is the phase most people describe as 'pink clouds' or 'fluffy' because the sweetness has lost its fruit and become purely floral, airy, a kind of clean radiance that sits above the skin rather than pressing into it. By the third hour, the base has fully arrived.
Cultural impact
Dreamscape sits in an interesting space within the indie fragrance landscape. It's a gentle, wearable floral from a brand whose bottles are hand designed in their studio, and that blend of visual identity and soft composition has drawn curious wearers who want something approachable on skin without losing the personality of an independent release. The fragrance is vegan and high-concentration Eau de Parfum, part of a Signature Collection that includes other named pieces.
