The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Alien Goddess Supra Florale exists to explore florality in a new direction. The fragrance combines three blossoms that had never quite shared space before: cactus flower, jasmine sambac, and immortelle absolute. The cactus flower brings its crisp green energy, a sharp, vital quality that cuts through the air. The jasmine brings its signature richness, a warm floral depth that fills the space around you. The immortelle adds something unexpected, that honeyed, slightly salty warmth that keeps the whole thing from tipping into sweetness. The combination creates a green, luminous floral that feels both fresh and deeply warm. It is, unmistakably, a Mugler. But it's a Mugler that wanted to see what happens when you let the flowers run.
What makes Supra Florale unusual is the combination of jasmine sambac, the same cultivar that defines Alien's solar heart, with cactus flower, a note that reads simultaneously prickly and pear-like. The mineral moss in the base is the real surprise: cool, fresh, almost ozonic, it keeps the jasmine from overwhelming everything else. Immortelle absolute, often used as a supporting player, takes on more weight here, its honeyed, slightly salty, herbal character bridges the gap between the floral and the mineral, creating something that feels both warm and grounded. It's the kind of structure that sounds simple on paper and smells like it took years to get right.
The evolution
The opening is quick and green. Cactus flower and prickly pear arrive together, that crisp, vital energy settling as jasmine sambac takes over. The jasmine arrives with presence, thick and richly balanced, and suddenly you're in the heart. The immortelle is there too, lending warmth and a slight saltiness that stops the jasmine from becoming syrupy. Then the base shifts. Mineral moss rises, cool, fresh, and the amber becomes a warm undercurrent rather than a dominant force. The sillage softens. What projected moderately now radiates as a warm whisper, close to skin. As the hours pass, it fades, not dramatically but gracefully, becoming memory, soft, floral, the lingering warmth of the afternoon after you've left the room.
Cultural impact
The 2023 launch of Supra Florale brought cactus flower and prickly pear to the Alien Goddess line, a pairing that has drawn curiosity from fragrance enthusiasts. Community ratings suggest moderate sillage, with some finding it potent for intimate settings while others appreciate how it radiates as intended. The cactus-pear accord stands out in a landscape of more conventional florals. This is not a fragrance for someone who wants to blend in.
