Why it exists.
The beginning
Pink Cloud joined MetaScent's Four Seasons collection in 2022, a series that translates the mood of each part of the year into something wearable. Perfumer Huynh Hai Yen composed it with a clear compositional logic: citrus opens bright and clean, almond blossom carries the heart, and cotton candy anchors the base with a sweetness that reads warm rather than sticky. The opening is crisp, almost sparkling, with lemon and bergamot lending a fresh sharpness that pear rounds out into something juicier and more generous. Almond blossom moves in quickly, powdery and soft, cushioning the citrus before cotton candy settles underneath, threading everything together with a sugar-soft sweetness. The result smells like a memory of spring rewritten in something softer, less literal, more felt.
The composition leans on a pairing that surprises: cotton candy alongside a proper floral heart. The cotton candy does the structural work, acting as a foundation that lets freesia and almond blossom keep their shape instead of getting swallowed by the sweetness. Pear in the opening gives the citrus a fleshy roundness, so the lemon and bergamot don't read as bracing or cologne-like. The almond blossom keeps the cotton candy from feeling like a standalone sugar note, lending it an airy, almost edible floral quality that grounds it.
The evolution
