The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Beyond Precious arrived in 2026 as Lattafa's answer to a particular kind of elegance: the kind that doesn't need to prove itself. This one reads as a study in softness, a floriental-fruity composition that treats restraint as a form of luxury. The name says it. Precious doesn't mean loud. It means chosen carefully, held close. There's a quiet radiance at work here, the kind built from jasmine and orange blossom anchored by something greener, something more grounded. Pear in the opening gives it that lift, a fruit note that behaves itself instead of shouting. The composition opens like a held breath, cool and green at first, before the white florals drift in and warm the air around them.
What makes this composition interesting isn't any single note. It's the negotiation between them. Angelica sits at the heart, and angelica is rarely the star. It does something stranger than jasmine or neroli. It adds an herbal, slightly bitter greenness that keeps the florals honest. Without it, this would be another pretty white-floral. With it, there's a vegetal thread running through the sweetness, like stems still attached to the bloom. Immortelle in the base seals the deal. That note carries a maple-curry warmth, almost boozy, that keeps vanilla from turning saccharine.
The evolution
The opening announces itself with neroli and bergamot, bright but not sharp, then pear rounds the edges into something almost edible. Within ten minutes the citrus pulls back and the florals arrive, but not all at once. Jasmine leads, white and warm, then orange blossom sweetens that stale humidity into something more candied. Angelica threads through it, adding that cool green bitterness that keeps the heart from going cloying. The transition into drydown is where Beyond Precious earns its name. Immortelle brings a golden, almost caramel-maple warmth that feels quietly luxurious against the skin. Vanilla smooths the edges. Tonka adds a soft almond plushness. On skin it settles close, holding its shape through a long day and into the evening. The drydown deepens gradually, the immortelle turning richer as the florals fade into a soft haze.
Cultural impact
Beyond Precious sits comfortably within a growing wave of Arabian fragrances reaching audiences well beyond their region of origin. The composition itself bridges familiar fruity-floral territory with a soft, musky base that wears well in different settings and seasons. Pear, neroli, jasmine, and orange blossom carry a recognizability that draws in newcomers, while the immortelle, vanilla, and tonka in the base offer something warmer and more distinctive for those who already know what they like. It's a floriental-fruity hybrid that doesn't demand a specific climate or occasion to work.
