The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Fugazzi launched the Eau de Parfum in 2025 as part of their expanding unisex lineup, and the Body Mist arrived the same year, the same spirit, but dressed for everyday wear. The brief was clear from the official copy: start with mandarin, coconut milk, and almond. Transition into hazelnut and vanilla. Make it the fragrance for the unapologetic. The Body Mist format makes that accessibility literal, a fine mist you can reach for without occasion, building a scent layer by layer throughout the day. The composition opens with bright citrus that immediately softens into creamy warmth, creating an inviting entrance that feels both fresh and indulgent. As the top notes fade, the heart of hazelnut and vanilla emerges, adding richness without overwhelming.
The hazelnut is the unsung hero here. In a category where vanilla often means flat sweetness, this one introduces a roasted, slightly bitter nuttiness that cuts through the cream. It's the difference between a perfume and a perfume worth talking about. The crème brûlée in the base reinforces this, caramelized sugar and egg custard create a warm, edible quality that doesn't tip into dessert territory. White amber adds a clean, skin-like warmth that grounds everything. Together, these materials create a fragrance that reads as warm without ever becoming heavy. Rare in this note family.
The evolution
The opening hits fast, mandarin's citrus brightness followed immediately by coconut milk and almond. The effect is creamy, almost edible, like stepping into a sunlit kitchen. This phase lasts about an hour before the hazelnut arrives, adding roasted depth that shifts the composition from sweet to warm. The heart belongs to vanilla and tonka bean. Here the fragrance settles close to skin, intimate rather than projecting. Jasmine adds a clean floral lift that prevents the sweetness from becoming cloying. This is the longest phase, the core identity that most people will associate with Vanilla Haze. The drydown is quiet. Crème brûlée and white amber create a barely-there warmth that exists at the edge of perception. Musk keeps everything skin-close. What lingers is the memory of sweetness, not the announcement of it.
Cultural impact
Coconut and vanilla body mists occupy a distinct space in the fragrance market. These warm, edible scents invite casual, everyday wear. They fit naturally into minimalist routines, offering comfort without commitment. The lighter format provides approachable scent that stays close to skin. This style of fragrance emphasizes personal comfort over presence, allowing the wearer to enjoy subtle sweetness throughout the day.
