The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Ichigo means strawberry in Japanese. Chocolat is French. Fernanda built this 2023 release around the strawberry-chocolate combination that Japanese confectionery does better than anywhere else, from Apollo Chocolate candies to regional convenience store exclusives. The brand took that cultural shorthand and pressed it into an EDP format, keeping the reference literal rather than elevated.
The composition doesn't try to improve on the reference. Strawberry, chocolate, milk, cocoa, the pyramid is short and the intent is clear. This is what happens when a fragrance brand decides that fidelity to a concept beats perfumery showmanship. No difficult notes, no structural trickery. Just strawberry chocolate the way someone who'd eat the whole box remembers it.
The evolution
The opening hits immediately, bright strawberry candy, sweet without being sharp. Chocolate arrives fast, softening the edges into something creamier. Within the first hour, the two notes fuse into a single impression. Not strawberry and chocolate, strawberry chocolate. The milk note emerges around the two-hour mark, rounding the composition into something rounder and more edible. By the final act, you're left with a soft cocoa-milk warmth that stays close to skin for several hours after application.
Cultural impact
This fragrance speaks directly to the gourmand lover who doesn't want to think too hard about what they're wearing. The 2023 launch found its audience in people who'd rather smell like something sweet than something sophisticated, and that's the point. It's not trying to convert anyone. It's here for the people who already know what they want.
