Escentric Molecules built its identity on a single idea: what if a synthetic molecule got to be the whole story? Not a background player fixing a fragrance's longevity, but the protagonist. When Schön isolated Iso E Super and recognized its potential as a solo performer, the brand launched with that molecule as its foundation. The Molecule + line came later, expanding the concept by pairing the core molecule with a complementary ingredient. Molecule 01 + Champaca follows that template exactly: Iso E Super as the foundation, champaca absolute layered on top to deepen the composition. This approach creates an interesting counterpoint to Iso E Super's transparency.
What makes champaca an interesting partner for Iso E Super is its density. Where the molecule reads as transparent, weightless, almost abstract, champaca absolute brings lushness and body, a creamy floral that can feel jasmine-adjacent, slightly tea-like, always warm. The combination produces something that reads as woody and floral simultaneously, neither note canceling the other out.
