Winter

The star anise is the tell. In most fragrances, anise reads as licorice or something theatrical. Here it's used almost transparently, just enough to add a cool, aromatic edge to the hyacinth, keeping the floral from tipping into sweetness. White musk does what Clean does best: it holds everything together, close and quiet, like a second skin that happens to smell good. The woody notes aren't woody in a traditional sense, they're blonde, almost mineral, the kind of clean that doesn't try to impress.

The evolution

The bergamot opens bright and citrusy, almost sharp against the cold air. Within minutes the hyacinth arrives, green, slightlyheady, the smell of stems cut fresh from the garden. The star anise appears quietly around the thirty-minute mark, threading through the heart like a cool breath. Then the white musk takes over. This is where Winter earns its name: a clean, intimate warmth that settles close and stays. On fabric it lingers for hours. On skin it fades faster but leaves a quiet trace, the ghost of something clean, something green, something that felt like winter.
