Clean built Skin & Vanilla Eau Fraîche in 2017, a date that places it as a companion piece to the original Skin rather than a replacement. The Eau Fraîche formula was the lighter take, the version designed for someone who found the original a shade too committed. Mandarins and red apple give it a bright, almost snack-like snap at the top, that candy-bright fruitiness that registers as cheerful rather than sweet. The vanilla base borrows just enough from the original Skin blueprint to keep the two bottles readable as siblings. There's a thread of warmth underneath the citrus that suggests where the fragrance is heading before the drydown even arrives. The whole composition reads as approachable, the kind of scent that doesn't ask you to commit to a mood or a season.
What separates this from the torrent of vanilla fragrances crowding every counter is the coconut-chocolate midlayer. Most vanilla compositions collapse into pure sugar at the heart.
