The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
212 VIP Rosé Elixir is an intensified interpretation of the 2014 original, created by perfumer Emilie Bevierre-Coppermann and released in 2024. The brief was simple: take the effervescent joy of 212 VIP Rosé and push it further. More depth in the base, more presence on skin, more character in the drydown. What emerged is a fruity-floral that wears its sweetness confidently but delivers a warm, musky finish that lingers long after the initial sparkle fades.
The key shift from the original is structural. Where 212 VIP Rosé stays light and effervescent throughout, the Elixir version builds. The opening still pops with the same blackcurrant and lychee brightness, but the heart introduces a peach blossom softness that feels powdery and intimate rather than sharp. The real difference is the base: patchouli and musk anchor the sweetness, preventing it from ever feeling thin or fleeting. Vanilla rounds the composition into a warm creaminess that stays close to the skin for hours.
The evolution
The opening arrives bright and fizzy, blackcurrant and lychee hitting with an immediate tart-sweet pop. Mandarin orange adds a citrus sparkle that lifts everything. Within minutes, the sweetness deepens as peach blossom enters the picture, turning the composition softer and more floral. The patchouli is the tell here, it doesn't wait for the drydown. It shows up midway through the heart, grounding the sweetness before it can float away. By the time the base arrives, the composition has shifted entirely. Musk and vanilla take over, creating a warm, powdery finish that feels like the fragrance settled into your skin rather than sat on top of it. The drydown reads close and intimate, projecting moderately for the first few hours before settling into a quiet warmth that lasts 6-8 hours on most skin types. On clothing, the vanilla and musk can linger into the next day.
Cultural impact
212 VIP Rosé Elixir extends the legacy of the 2014 original, building on the house's tradition of fruity-floral compositions with modern warmth. The Elixir version introduces more depth in the base while keeping the accessible, joyful character that made the original a popular choice.
