Chrome Summer is Azzaro's seasonal take on its flagship Chrome line. Perfumer Michel Almairac composed the fragrance around a brief to capture the season's character without losing the original's easy charm. The result strips Chrome down to its most elemental ingredients, building the composition from grapefruit for brightness, cardamom for the warm edge that makes citrus feel grown-up, and an amber base that holds everything together when the heat fades. The grapefruit opens with a clean bitterness, more pith than juice, the kind of citrus snap that reads as fresh rather than sweet. The cardamom lands shortly after, adding a dry warmth that keeps the opening from feeling thin or one-dimensional.
