The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Ya Habibti, my darling. The name says everything. This is a fragrance that opens like a greeting, intimate and warm, built for the moments that don't need an audience. Asdaaf has been crafting scents that speak to a younger generation of fragrance wearers, moving away from heavy oud compositions toward something lighter, more floral, more conversational. Ya Habibti Oh My Love fits that shift, a citrus-floral-woody structure that feels modern without losing the richness Arabian perfumery is known for. The 2025 release carries that intent: accessible romance, no ceremony required.
The note structure is worth sitting with. Tangerine and grapefruit open bright, then hand off to rose and jasmine, a classic floral heart that does the heavy lifting. But the base is where this one earns its character. Vanilla and sandalwood bring warmth, white musk brings intimacy, amber brings a quiet glow. Together they create a powdery drydown that feels earned rather than tacked on. The white musk is the quiet workhorse here, it bridges the florals and the warmth, making the transition feel natural rather than abrupt. That's the craft in it.
The evolution
The opening is quick and clean. Tangerine and grapefruit arrive together, the grapefruit adding a tartness that keeps the tangerine from going too sweet. You get maybe fifteen minutes of citrus before the florals start to take over. The handoff is smooth, no awkward phase where the composition seems unsure of itself. By the thirty-minute mark, rose and jasmine are running the show. The jasmine brings a creamy, slightly indolic warmth that the rose tempers with a delicate spice. This is the heart of the fragrance, and it lasts. Hours, not minutes. The base arrives quietly. Vanilla and sandalwood layer together, warming against the skin. White musk keeps it close, this is not a fragrance that projects aggressively. Amber adds a soft golden quality without sweetness. The drydown on most skin types runs four to six hours, with the sandalwood and white musk holding longest. On fabric, the next morning, you'll find a quiet trace of sandalwood and vanilla. Not loud. Just there.
