The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Founded in 2020 in the UAE, Amira Parfums built early recognition on oud-forward compositions that spoke to regional perfumery traditions. Wild Soul arrived in 2022 as a deliberate expansion beyond that identity, signaling ambitions in contemporary perfumery without abandoning the brand's Middle Eastern sensibility. The choice of violet and cardamom as leading notes reflected a willingness to lead with unexpected pairings rather than familiar oriental warmth.
Violet and cardamom were chosen for their ability to bridge two worlds: the cool floral elegance of Western perfumery and the warm spice sensibility rooted in Middle Eastern traditions. Papyrus and iris deepen this conversation in the heart, with papyrus offering textural dryness and iris extending the violet's soft floral character. Ambroxan provides a contemporary bridge, its mineral warmth connecting the florals to the woody base. Sandalwood, cedarwood, and leather complete the composition, grounding the fragrance in warmth and structure that feels both modern and rooted.
The evolution
Wild Soul opens with violet and cardamom, a pairing that feels both cool and warmly spiced. As the fragrance develops, papyrus and iris take over, introducing papyrus's dry, paper-like texture alongside iris's powdery softness. Ambroxan threads through the heart with mineral warmth before sandalwood and cedarwood arrive in the drydown, building creamy, warm woodiness. Leather arrives last, adding structure and a quietly authoritative finish that completes the arc from airy opening to grounded base.
Cultural impact
Wild Soul has been described as a ‘wild and transgressive soul’, intoxicating both men and women with its bold cardamom‑violet opening and smoky wood drydown. Wearers note its ability to stand out in a crowd without overwhelming, making it a cult favourite among those who crave a scent that balances daring spice with refined powdery elegance.
