    Delphine Thierry

Delphine Thierry emerged from ISIPCA with a hunger for raw material mastery that still drives her today. After a year at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, she joined IFF, where she spent six years shaping niche projects for clients in Paris, New York and Mexico. A second stint at MANE deepened her expertise in both synthetic and natural accords, and she earned a reputation for translating complex briefs into elegant compositions. In 2007 she left the corporate world to launch her own studio, a move that marked the first major public release of her independent work. Since then she has consulted for boutique houses and independent brands, always insisting on transparency and sustainability. Her career spans more than three decades, yet each new fragrance feels like a fresh conversation with the ingredients she loves.

    The signature

    How Delphine composes

Delphine’s signatures include transparent floral‑green structures built on high‑quality absolutes and essential oils. She favors iris, rose, and violet leaf, often pairing them with woody bases such as sandalwood or cedar to add depth. Amber, musk, and subtle aldehydic touches appear in her later works, providing a warm, lingering finish. She prefers a linear development that reveals new facets over time rather than a sudden burst, allowing the perfume to evolve on the skin. Her formulations balance precision with intuition, and she frequently experiments with rare botanicals harvested responsibly.

    Philosophy

    What drives Delphine

Delphine believes that perfume should respect the source as much as the scent it creates. She insists on sourcing 100 % natural ingredients whenever possible, arguing that purity amplifies emotion. For her, a fragrance is a dialogue between memory and material; she seeks to capture a moment’s feeling without masking it with excess. She treats each project as a chance to explore how nature’s chemistry can meet modern performance, and she measures success by the lingering impression on the wearer, not by awards or trends. Sustainability, honesty, and emotional resonance form the core of her creative compass.
