Dark Crude arrived in 2018, and beneath its rough, oil-dark name sits a composition that moves in the opposite direction: clean, lean, and stripped of excess. Grapefruit opens with a sharp green brightness that feels almost pulpy on skin, the kind of citrus that snaps rather than whispers. A marine note runs through the middle, carrying that cool salt-air quality without tipping into synthetic territory. It reads more like a sea breeze through an open window than an ozonic splash. Then sandalwood anchors the base, soft and creamy with a faint woody warmth that keeps the whole thing grounded. The interaction is direct: citrus up top, sea air in the heart, sandalwood at the root, each note holding its own space without blending into a generic blur.

The drydown is the longest phase, a soft woody skin scent that hangs around for the remaining 3-4 hours without much projection. On clothing, especially knits, the sandalwood lingers noticeably longer than on skin, sometimes detectable the next morning as a faint woody warmth.
