Mermaid Kiss joined the Yasmin Beauty lineup in 2024. The name conjures a moment at the shoreline, hair still dripping, skin cooling in the breeze. It's the scent equivalent of stepping out of the sea and reaching for something sweet to eat. The first spray hits with a rush of cool, watery fruit that feels like salt air carried on a warm afternoon. There's an almost edible sweetness in the opening, the kind that makes your mouth water before your brain catches up. As the hours pass, that initial brightness softens and settles into something rounder, warmer, more familiar on the skin. By mid-afternoon the fruit has mellowed, leaving behind a faint caramel warmth that clings close to the body.
The composition leans on Calone to build its watery impression. The marine molecule sits at the center of the opening, giving the fragrance its distinctive skin-of-the-ocean lift. Pairing it with actual melon in the top and watermelon in the heart deepens the illusion of a fruit basket floating in seawater. The watermelon especially reads almost translucent, a cool red sweetness that pulses beneath the more overt melon note.
The evolution
