The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Voices of Angels arrives in 2025 from The Dua Brand, a house whose work centers on compositions built around recognizable scent lineages. This release draws clear inspiration from Chœur des Anges by Atelier Des Ors, a radiant floral known for its golden amber and honey character. The composition channels the celestial warmth of its source material into an amber-honey floral with real presence, a fragrance that translates the original's gilded softness into its own form. It sits within the brand's Inspired Expression collection, a line that takes great fragrance as a shared pleasure rather than a closed circle.
What separates this from a dozen other honey-leaning ambers is the carrot seed. Carrot seed absolute brings a dry, rooty, almost herbal quality that interacts with the sweetness in a way few other materials can. Without it, the composition would feel lighter on its feet but less anchored. The orange blossom absolute adds a creamy white-flower softness that bridges the brighter blood orange top with the warmer base, while osmanthus contributes its signature apricot-leather nuance, giving the mid-stage a subtle complexity that earns attention.
The evolution
The opening belongs to blood orange and pear, bright and almost edible, the kind of introduction that draws people closer before they fully register what they're smelling. Honey arrives not as a sticky sweetness but as a warm, golden tone, like sunlight through amber glass. Orange blossom absolute follows, wrapping everything in a soft, creamy haze that softens the citrus edge and pulls the composition into a rounder register. The carrot seed makes its presence known through its earthy, slightly hay-like quality, a counterweight that keeps things from tipping too sweet. Osmanthus adds a quiet apricot warmth that almost reads as skin, blurring the line between perfume and wearer. The base of amber and cedarwood settles in and holds its ground, warm, slightly powdery, and remarkably tenacious.
Cultural impact
Voices of Angels enters a fragrance landscape where honeyed ambers and warm gourmand florals have become some of the most requested profiles among buyers exploring outside the legacy fashion houses. The scent draws on a recognizable lineage, working in a territory that already carries strong associations with comfort, warmth, and golden radiance. The execution captures the soft, candied warmth people connect with the reference, and the composition's honeyed core, grounded by carrot seed and rounded out by osmanthus and orange blossom, gives it a profile that reads both familiar and its own.
