Why it exists.
The beginning
In November 2021, Miguel Matos discovered a club in Lisbon where techno became a weekly religion. A specific DJ introduced him to Hard Techno as a music style, one that made him move, made him feel something he couldn't explain. The Roland 303 synthesizer, with its rough, acidic texture, became the conceptual anchor. He wanted to translate that sound into smell: the chemical bite of disco smoke, the dust of sound systems, the laser light atmosphere of a dark room full of people moving close. Hard Techno is Matos's interpretation of that experience, the confrontation of hard electronic music, transformed into something wearable and warm.
The notes map directly onto that concept. Cumin and iris open hard and powdery, the synthetic smoke, the acidic bite. Then vanilla and sandalwood arrive to soften. Musk bridges the two: animalic warmth that makes the transition feel inevitable rather than jarring. The fragrance doesn't ask permission to be confrontational. It simply trusts that the warmth underneath will catch you. That's the techno experience in olfactory form: hard edges that resolve into something almost tender.
The evolution
The synthetic elements, the chemical smoke accord, the spiky cumin, dissipate first.
