The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Rose + Honey takes its name from the two notes at its heart, rose petals and honey. But this isn't a simple floral. Perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani built it on a bright, fruity opening of strawberry, tangerine, and peach that arrives first, before the rose and honey show up to warm things up. The idea was contrast: something that opens sweet and almost playful, then settles into warmth that lasts.
What makes Rose + Honey interesting is the structure. The opening is all brightness, strawberry, tangerine, peach, but it doesn't stay there. The honey in the heart is the bridge, connecting the fruity top to the warm base of amber, musk, and white caramel. Cashmeran adds a musky closeness that keeps everything close to the skin, so the sweetness never becomes overwhelming. It's a fragrance that knows when to back off and let the warmth settle in.
The evolution
The opening hits bright, strawberry and tangerine arriving together, almost shouty. Then the rose shows up and everything quiets down, just slightly. The honey comes next, not as a note but as a feeling, warmth spreading through the composition. By the time you hit the drydown, the amber and white caramel have taken over, with the musk keeping everything close. The Haitian vetiver adds a slight earthiness that stops it from becoming too sweet. Eight hours later, the amber and white caramel are still there, holding the whole thing together. On clothes, it lasts even longer, the fabric holds the sweetness like a memory.
Cultural impact
Rose + Honey sits in the floral-gourmand space, sweet, warm, and unapologetically feminine. It's the kind of fragrance that people either love or find too sweet, but those who love it tend to love it deeply. The honey note is the star, it's warm without being cloying, and it keeps the rose from feeling too formal. It's similar to Delina by Parfums de Marly but with more honey and less rose. The longevity is exceptional, eight hours is the norm, and on clothes, it lasts even longer. It's the kind of fragrance that someone wears when they want to be noticed, but not in an obvious way.
